LDN 2050
"A first-rate city with a second-rate country attached" As bleak as this description of London might sounds, one can't help but wonder whether there is any truth to it. London has now become one of the largest business capital of the world, accumulating vast amounts of wealth and power over the decades while the rest of the United Kingdom was left behind. Many Londoners admit that the City feels like a country in itself but the idea of separating from the rest of the country seems unlikely. However, one can't help but wonder what would London look like as an independent city state? This project looks to recreate an idea of what this fictional city would look like. The nine illustrations, printed using risograph technique, create an open-ended narrative that aims to excite the viewer's imagination and encourage them to create their own version of LDN in the year 2050.
